Consultation
As with every procedure here at Bella Family Dental, we’ll start with a consultation. During this, we will discuss your medical history, dental concerns, and smile goals. We will conduct a complete oral exam and obtain digital diagnostics to determine your eligibility for zygomatic dental implants.
Based on this consultation, we’ll create a customized treatment plan for your aesthetic wants and lifestyle needs. This treatment plan will include a surgical guide, bite analysis, and even what shade and shape of teeth to make based on your facial symmetry, skin tone, and gum and lip line.
Procedure
Once your treatment plan is created, we’ll schedule your surgery. On the day of your surgery, we’ll administer your choice of sedation and begin making small incisions in your gum tissue to access the facial bone carefully. We will place 4-6 implant posts to your zygoma (cheek) bone and attach your custom-made temporary prosthesis so you can enjoy all the benefits of your new smile while your mouth heals.
Final Restoration
Over the next 4-6 months, your mouth will heal through osseointegration, where the dental implants fuse with your zygoma to create a strong foundation for your final set of teeth.
